Keren-Shemesh has been sub-granted by Youth Business International as part of a YBI programme funded by Google.org to support support underserved micro, small and medium businesses to respond to the COVID-19 crisis.
The global economy is suffering from an unprecedented shock as a result of COVID-19. With typically tight margins, micro, small and medium businesses are vulnerable to economic downturn. The current pandemic is having a particularly serious impact on business owners and entrepreneurs from underserved communities, including young people (aged 18-35 years), women, and refugees and other migrants. Many are struggling to get through the crisis and need support now.
Keren-Shemesh, by its joining YBI’s Rapid Response Programme, funded by Google.Org, will be attending to sudden and urgent needs faced by Israeli young business owners since the outbreak of the Coronavirus crisis.
These include: assisting in understanding and maximizing access to government aid, helping to adapt business and work plans, support with prioritizing needs and streamlining short-term expenses, helping cope with human resources challenges and finally helping to assess capital needs and to access appropriate credit.
We are sure, here at Keren-Shemesh, that YBI’s rapid response programme funded by Google.org, will enable us to provide Israeli business owners hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic with tools to help them survive this crisis, and even prepare for growth and opportunities in the future.
